Topic: The Virtual Office (VO)


Question #3:


1. Describe or Define VO.

Virtual Office (VO) is a web-based tool that provides a range of information on most office-base hazards. Whist this list is a sample range only, it reinforces the need to use a risk management approach when identifying office based hazards.


2. Distinguish VO from MIS.

Virtual Office is a term for shared office services, which normally includes business address mail & courier services, phone services, fax services, answering services while Management Information System planned system of collecting, processing storing and dissemating data in the the form o information needed to carry out the functions of management.


3. Illustrate (give examples) how VO can improve company's competitive advantage and organizational performance.

Virtual Office includes easy to navigate liks to occupating health and safety (OHS) regulatory and guidance material for common-wealth agencies that may be used in the development of OHS policies and procedures.
